No shade towards the Network School but it was announced one month away, that probably excludes 95% of potential applicants. Over indexes those who can drop everything and travel to a remote island, independently wealthy types. By design?

I think one of the unanswered challenges of Network States is how families can participate... otherwise these things are at risk of looking like a SF Tech Meetup. I get the theory on how families can participate (more innovative schools with less gov regulation) but the early stuff that has rolled out, including Prospera, does not give me confidence.

Renting a 3 bedroom apt. in Forest City is quite cheap compared to the States (~$600) so a family could just skip the room and board part of the fee and still attend the 'school' if that's allowed. More broadly I'm not sure what a Network State or School offers a family other than maybe some sense of community.
