I cancelled my Playdate order a while ago and picked up an Anbernic RG35XX instead. This little device is incredible; it’s ~$100 and plays retro games up to the PS1.

Highly recommend one for short retro gaming bursts. YouTube is full of handheld console reviews but I found this model came up the most as a great first device.
