naw it lobbed good criticism at the wrong ppl, artists that will be hit with talking points from the essay are gonna be those who are vocal abt having their own work put into learning samples; if they’re notable enough for that, they’re usually successful in their own right which breaks Fang’s framing

as an artist myself I disagree. anyone who spent 5 to 20 years amongst the artists, Humanities/ Social Sciences etc. meet that criticism, and maybe can do some self-reflection. ps: some reduce this to the point of AI, it's just a more general critique. ps2: i "rarely" agree with Fang. ps3: AI art is art.

I do think some points seem valid and identify behaviors among artists that seem bad…altho their painting other behaviors, eg., mutual support, as a sort of shortcoming is rly weird Fang themself frames this abt AI art+writes it as a response to an incident involving, I don’t mind AI art but to say it’s not the

i have never witnessed mutual support "thanks to" diversity manuals. I won't comment about it but it's a decayed layer. artistic worlds have deep tribal conditions and even having a rather lighter or darker skin color closes many doors to you.
