Purple People

I am ready to quit my phone.

My motivation is to improve my effectiveness in, and enjoyment of, life.

I am confident it will be net beneficial to remove my phone as the crutch to which I default my attention in lieu of anything else occupying it in a given moment.

Update: PHONE RULES are working phenomenally so far.

See screenshot below of my phone screen time this week. It says 21m daily average but I've actually been actively on my phone even less. For example, the most used app, Zoom at 34m, is mostly me doing walking recordings for /purplepeople and forgetting to lock the phone when I put it in my pocket. 

32m on Warpcast was mostly (a.) trying Warpcast Wallet, and (b.) testing a frame in developer mode (both unavailable on web). 15m on the Watch app was iterating on my watch face configurations and 10m in the App Store was downloading a few new Watch apps to try. 

Everything else this week I've been able to do between my Apple Watch and my Laptop. No phone needed. It's been great.
