Blockchain, a key concept of Bitcoin, is essentially a decentralized database, and as the underlying technology of Bitcoin, it is a chain of data blocks that are generated using cryptographic methods. Each data block contains information about a batch of transactions on the Bitcoin network, used to verify its authenticity (anti-counterfeiting) and generate the next block. The original Bitcoin white paper in English actually did not use the term "blockchain," but rather "chain of blocks." The earliest Chinese translation of the Bitcoin white paper actually translated "chain of blocks" into "blockchain." This is the earliest time that the Chinese term "blockchain" appeared.
