So I’d like to take a moment to complain about CSR (contract-secured revenue) My personal opinion is that it’s a dumpster fire — it provides smart contract devs with a perverse incentive to make code *less* efficient If you want to redirect sequencer fees to sc devs, tie it to economically useful activity 🤦

Yeah, and the “retroactive” component makes it much less gameable (though in a perfect world we’d have some objective options as well)

yeah feels like for something as generic as a general purpose L2, there are just too many dimensions to optimize for to get clean metrics. could see CSR making sense for more app-centric / single purpose rollup where the optimization function is simpler
