Sending out the bat signal (in case @notnotstorm is watching & keeping the streets safe) Need metrics on frequency / depth of reorgs by chain, or a framework that could theoretically handle this kind of inquiry BigQuery not the preferred tool if other, more direct methods are available

'canonical reorg' dataset is tricky -- unless you collect data from multiple nodes and aggregate it, you'll only capture the reorgs experienced by one specific node, which could be very different from what others experience. the longer the reorg, the more likely it is to be 'canonical'

Historical data on reorgs is pretty scarce IME. Some block explorers record them. Not aware of an analytics-oriented tool that does it well.

1) @samcm's xatu project is building public datasets of this for ethereum 2) @toniw.eth's https://reorg.pics/ visualizes some reorg metrics 3) etherscan shows this for some chains. not sure if complete. (e.g. https://polygonscan.com/blocks_forked) Ive never seen great data for non-eth chains. lmk if you find any
