Yesterday afternoon I captured a fleeting moment- the moment the ISS transited the moon. Despite being broad daylight, the ISS was clearly visible against the cratered terrain. I captured it in conjunction with the lunar south pole where astronauts will soon return. https://t.co/zJJbUp7Cnn

Using a 135mm camera lens, I captured the Sagittarius Star cloud (Messier 24). This is one of the greatest spots to look at through a telescope just due to the sheer number of stars! In September I traveled to the top of a volcano to capture Saturn being briefly covered by the moon. This is the moment after it emerged… I titled it “Saturn’s Egress”, and chose it for September in my 2025 calendar (now in my bio). This was a bucket list photo for me! https://t.co/KVK39xUDEK

Scenes like this are why I’m addicted to astrophotography. Using a mere $500 telescope and a camera I’m able to photograph some of the most ethereal scenes in nature, like the tadpole nebula here.
